Bobo
Bobo was rescued by Philippe, our secretary and vice president. Bobo was offered on the internet as a prey for dog fights. When Philippe found out about it, he didn’t think twice and picked Bobo up as he had to save him. Bobo was in a very bad condition and traumatized. We placed him in a host family and with the support of a dog behavioral therapist, Bobo learned how it feels like to just be a dog and enjoy life. In the meantime, we searched for a new for-ever loving home for Bobo. And he found a very special one with Lilly Ann and Fred from Heerlen, The Netherlands. Lilly Ann is a pet photographer and Fred used to work with the Dutch animal protection organization called Dierenbescherming. They say Bobo’s adoption request on Facebook and fell in love with this little fellow. A first meeting with Bobo at his host family went very well. They clicked and Bobo felt very comfortable with Lilly Ann and Fred. Yesterday there was a meeting scheduled between Bobo and Lilly Ann’s and Fred’s other pooches. Bobo was a bit shy at first. He was very impressed with Wulf and Ayumi’s beautiful eyes, but after a couple of minutes they were playing around as if they’re best buddies. Together with Lilly Ann and Fred, best buddies Wulf, Ayumi and Zaroff, Bobo is going to have a wonderful life. As a member of Lilly Ann’s and Fred’s pack, Bobo may be an unobtrusive teenager who is going to explore the world along with his human friends and furry playmates.
Nala
Nala has found her for-ever loving family with Marry, Johan, Larissa and Nick from Noord-Holland, The Netherlands. We had received a lot of adoption requests for Nala and after a long discussion, taking in consideration her living situation which we wanted to mirror to her new living situation as much as possible, we selected her new family to meet Nala in person. This meeting went well and Nala was taken home with them. She got her second chance in life and is having an amazing new home with her new family and playmate Yara.
Khan
Khan has found his for-ever loving family with Ivan and Sonja from Belgium. Our host family, together with their neighbors and their 14-year-old dog Tibo, went on a walk with Khan one day and soon it became clear that both ‘boys’ would form an inseparable duo. Due to the playfulness of the young Khan, Tibo has revived and he likes to play and walk with his new brother. Khan has hit the jackpot because his new for-ever loving home is in the middle of the countryside, where he can enjoy the freedom of nature and the hugs he gets from his new family, people with a big animal heart, and the company of his big brother Tibo. Khan, dear boy, you deserve this great new life!
Princes
Princes has found a for-ever loving family with Ben and An and their two children from Mechelen, Belgium. They live in an old-school building with a huge playground and a town garden and share the property with Ben’s brother and his family. They wrote us a beautiful letter. In the fall of 2016, the family lost their beloved loyal dog, Leo, a big Portuguese mountain dog Estrella. Leo died after having suffered from a short but very severe period of sickness. Leo was adopted by Ben and An when he was 9 months old. Leo was the second dog of Ben and An, their first dog Douglas, a white Canadian shepherd and an equally beloved companion like Leo, died at a relatively young age due to renal failure. The family was looking for a new family member, specifically a large breed in puberty, and they fell in love with Princes. A first meeting with Princes exceeded all expectations, so as the second meeting. It was a no brainer for them to adopt Princes. In addition to a new, big family of 8 people (Ben, Ann, Bo, Tibo, brother Gil with his wife and two children), Princes also has a Jack Russel as a playmate (Ben’s brother’s dog) and she shares her new home with a dwarf rabbit Maurice and Bob, a big beautiful cat (Garfield would be jealous). Our Princes has truly hit the jackpot and found her throne at her new for-ever loving home and family.
Diesel
Diesel has been adopted by Saskia and Patrick from Halle, Belgium. He came from a nest of 10 puppies and stayed too long with the breeder and wasn’t socialized. A young couple adopted him, but they didn’t know how to handle him as they had no knowledge or experience of his breed. With this young family, Diesel didn’t get the right guidance, follow-up and exercise he needed, which made him unmanageable for them. They put him up for adoption because they couldn’t handle him.
Saskia and Patrick had heard about Diesel from a friend who shared his post on her Facebook page. It was loves at first sight. They were familiar with Belgium shepherds as they had one before (who died of old age). A first meeting with Diesel went very well. A second one was made quickly and become one big party. Diesel is now part of a loving family who is giving him the proper care, training and love this boy truly deserves. Diesel has hit the jackpot with Saskia, Patrick and their three kids!
Snap
Snap was put up for adoption out of love and respect by his former owner. He is a security guard and followed a training to become a dog handler, but failed several times for his exam, while Snap completed his “Basic Security training” with success. Because he failed his exam, he could not work with Snap professional and as a result, Snap was home alone too often.
But Snap has found his for-ever loving home with Tony and Stephen from Brasschaat, Belgium. Many years ago, Tony and Stephen adopted two older Belgium shepherds. Unfortunately, one of died of old age and the other of cancer. Because they missed their ‘buddies’ incredibly much, they’ve been looking to adopt another, older, Belgium shepherd for a long time. Snap is having a wonderful life with Tony and Stephen. They live close to a forrest, so Snap goes jogging in the morning and is taken upon bicycle rides in the weekends. Snap has hit the jackpot and we could not wish for him a better home!
Bouton
Bouton, a stray cat (birthdate unknown) was brought in with our vet in Belgium, Annelies Crul. This little fellow was paralyzed caused by tick bites, he was covered with fleas, had bare spots on his coat and he was severely malnourished. We provided Bouton with the urgent medical care he needed. His new for-ever loving family found quickly and he is now living with his new Van Bocksel family from Melle, Belgium. These amazing people with a great animal heart already adopted several cats from asylum, as well as 2 potbelly pigs and 2 dogs. Bouton has hit the jackpot and we could not wish him a better home!
Laslo
Laslo, a 2.5-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog was dumped with us because his previous family didn’t have time for him anymore. Out of boredom and loneliness Laslo started to discover the world on its own and no fence was high enough to stop him. Our Facebook post generated a lot of responses and therefore we started the adoption process behind the scenes. Laslo has found his for ever loving family with Veronique from Lille in Belgium.
Veronique received a call from a friend (Tessa) who’d seen Laslo on Facebook and thought he would be a perfect match for her. Veronique is crazy about the Tessa’s Bernese Mountain Dog named Lola. Veronique contacted us and we got the ball rolling. A first and second meeting at the host family was a huge success. Laslo was crazy about Veronique and Veronique about Crazy. It was though as if they’d been together for ever. This big cuddly hugging bear has hit the jackpot big time at his new for-ever loving home!

Zinah has hit the jackpot and we could not wish her a better home!
Jack
Jack who’s lived in lived in a bench in a garage with a bark collar around his neck has found a new for-ever loving home! And a great one with Brechje, Marc, Sam and Raf from Lommel, Belgium. Brechje, Marc and their two children Sam and Raf had to say goodbye to their Dalmatian Joe in May of last year. They lost their soulmate and were missing him dearly, especially Yara, their 9-year-old labrador as she lost her playmate. A message shared by Joe’s breeder on Facebook about Jack’s search for a new loving family triggered their interest in Jack. A first meeting at Jack’s host family went very well. Jack was so excitedly. The family got buried with Jack’s kisses and hugs and their son’s Sam and Raf could not get enough of him. Neither could Yara as her tail kept wiggling. After a long walk the family said goodbye and made an appointment for the next day to come back and participate in a group walk with the intention to bring Jack home. After a wonderful day surrounded with tens of paws, waggling tails, wet noses and enthusiastic barks, the family said goodbye to Jack’s host family and left with 8 paws in the car. Brechje and Marc will follow a basic dog obedience training with Jack since he has a lot to learn still and Marc will take him with him for long walks. Jack is going to have a lovely life with his new family.
Zoë
Zoë was surrendered by her previous owners due to a divorce. We placed her with a host family while we searched for a new for-ever loving home. Zoë is living with Yannick from Hansbeke, Belgium. Yannick was looking for a somewhat larger format, active dog that would accompany her while taking horse drawn carriage tours together. A first meeting with Zoë and her host family went well. There was a direct click between both ladies. A second meeting at Yannick’s home to meet her two other, smaller pooches Nanou and Titi and the horses was a great success. Zoë was immediately accepted and felt completely at home. There was a lot of cuddling, running and playing happening and inside the house, a new lovely dog basket was waiting for Zoë. Zoë is going to have a wonderful life with Yannick and her playmates.

Zora was dumped by her previous owners as she didn’t ‘fit’ with the interior of their new house anymore. We placed her with a host family while we searched for a new for-ever loving home. With support of our network of friends, we found a match made in heaven. Zora is living with Tom from Sint Gillis Waas, Belgium. He is a young retired widower, who’s recovering from a brain injury and his dog recently died. The first meeting with Zora went very well – there was an immediate click between the two of them. They’ve been cuddling, playing and Zora spoiled Tom with dog kisses. At a second meeting at Tom’s house, Zora was warmly welcomed. Her meal was already waiting for her, and neighbors and friends stopped by to meet the new ‘woman’ in Tom’s life. “Zora is having a wonderful life with Tom.

Goats
With the support of KFAAF, these goats were placed at a pet farm.
Zwanger schaap
After having given birth and nurturing her lambs, a ewe would be sent to the slaughter house as she isn’t allowed to have more lambs. Therefore she looses her economic value for the breeder. Philippe, our vice president, bought her and placed her with a family where she could enjoy a warm stable and a well-deserved retirement.
Duc
Duc was dumped along the highway in Cannes, France and spent at least three weeks out there with an injured leg, without anyone who cared about him.
